Commercial floor care is an important and necessary maintenance step for the most effective presentation of your business. Customers, especially in a retail environment, can be easily put off by dirty and unclean floors. Because floors are the first thing that a customer will see, you will need a competent and knowledgeable VCT Stripping firm for your business. When stripping and waxing the surface, a competent floor stripping firm will take the following procedure:
Stripping
The commercial floor care VCT stripping process usually beginning with a stripping procedure on the floor. Most operators will begin by applying a liberal amount of stripping solution on the floor by mopping in order to loosen up any dirt. During this process all of the wax from the old cleaning; all of the newly-deposited dirt, grime, and other residue are removed. The dull color of a dirty floor can soon be removed with the proper cleaning apparatus and care. Floors may require more than one pass in order to strip the floor of the old wax. Floors such as marble, concrete and slate can be restored to their original shine and finish with the aid of an experienced floor treatment professional.
Waxing
For commercial floor care VCT stripping a professional will apply a water or oil-based solution to their scrubber in order to effectively rejuvenate the floor. They will desire to give the floor long-lasting protection, and will use up to six layers in this process. The first step most professional floor strippers will take includes applying the initial coat of wax. They will do this by first of all calculating the square footage in order to apply the right solution. Then they will start at the entrance and run their scrubber along the sides of the walls, working their way into the middle. Finally, they will overlap the floor in some places in order to ensure that all of it has been covered. Additional waxing coatings will follow the same procedure. Most stripping jobs will take a half-day to complete.
Cleanup
After this process is finished; some cleanup procedures are involved, including removing the dirty solution from the inside of the buffer. The stripped solution, known as “slurry” cannot be left in the stripper or it will cause the machinery to fail because of the solidified gunk.
